About this performance
Welcome the Year of the Dragon with superstar Chinese soprano Hui He and the MSO, conducted by Xu Zhong.
Lauded by western media as “China’s greatest gift to the world of opera”, Hui He will perform evocative selections by Qiufeng and Leoncavallo.
After making an impressive Opera Australia debut conducting Don Giovanni in 2020, Xu Zhong returns to make his MSO debut conducting this program featuring Dvořák's New World symphony – voted #1 in the ABC Classic 100!

许忠2020 年首次在澳大利亚歌剧团指挥《唐·乔万尼》，给观众留下了深刻印象。本次演出中，他将与墨尔本交响乐团合作，首次指挥德沃夏克的《新世界交响曲》——该曲目被评为澳大利亚广播公司百大古典音乐之首！
