About this performance

From the bedlam at a sorcerer's workshop to the stories of One Thousand and One Nights in Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, this concert is a vivid portrayal of the fantastical and exotic.

Exciting pianist Khatia Buniatishvili has been making waves performing with the world's leading orchestras and conductors. She brings her boundary-breaking flair to Tchaikovsky's famous First Piano Concerto, flavoured with Ukrainian folksongs.

Join Chief Conductor Jaime Martín and the MSO for an evening and let these musical tales transport you to faraway lands.

This performance is part of ANAM and MSO’s Orchestral Training Partnership.
